Tennessee Trip & Travel Tips: Day 5

To My Children,

After some lounge time in the morning at the holiday house, we all gathered up in the minivan to find something to eat.  Aunt T located a place called The Old Mill Pottery House Cafe and Grille.  The food was SO good and it was a perfect spot because there were many shops and boutiques to explore in the area as well.

After we had finished up with journeying through this location and eating, it was about time for The Comedy Barn show to begin.  All of us that attended this trip, except for a few new members of the family, saw this show together many years ago.  It was full of improv and games back then and a lot funnier in the past.  This show definitely didn’t provide the kind of entertainment like we expected it to, but you never know until you try!

After we exited the theatre, we headed down the dark, windy roads to visit Gatlinburg.  We walked the streets to hunt for food and ended up at Five Guys.  We didn’t stay here long and headed back to the house afterward.

When we got back, Aunt B had made mulled wine and we hopped into the hot tub to enjoy the Dolly Parton music coming from the park and the bright lights gleaming from all the decor inside DollyWood.

And that was basically our day, except for mentioning a few things I just remembered about our morning in the holiday house.  Chippy Sprinkles Claus, your elf, texted my mom, and the look on your face was priceless.  When you didn’t like your black and plaid shirt, we sent a picture to Chippy and his reply made you feel much better about your outfit that day.

I can’t believe this trip has come and gone.  I can’t believe Christmas is upon us.  I can’t believe 2019 is almost over!  You both are growing so much that I can’t even keep up!  But I still have one more day to post about and we have many adventures planned for 2020 that I’m so excited about!

Talk About It:  Do you have any fun activities, adventures, or trips planned for 2020?
